Just For Today… Sunday Blog Ritual

   Posted by: Victoria   in Uncategorized

With a cup of coffee close by… Sunday mornings have become my blog day… a new ritual that I really love… and what to stay on course with.

It is so easy to get involved in daily life… for all of us I know. I sometimes feel that the computer age has added ” more to do each day” as we reach out to people… not by human contact anymore… but by ” clicking it “. It’s kinda of funny really… and sad at the same time… that this is the way we communicate with people these days… but it does have a positive side too.

I can sit before my computer… and write my thoughts and feelings on my blog page… and you will read it… or maybe you won’t. I guess what matters is that I have something to say… that’s on my mind and heart… and perhaps you will resonate with the written words I have composed… and you will  know that you have someone… somewhere … who thinks and feels like you do on a subject. And that is… after all… validating and comforting.

What I have learned though… is that to get anything creative done… or for that fact… get all of my necessary tasks completed each day… and enjoy my life… I have to limit my time on the computer. OMG what a time drain it can all be… reading messages… twitting… responding to messages… clicking on links… browsing… befriending… going back and reading responses to your messages… reading blogs… doing research… it takes hours each day for all this computer jazz and connection!!!

So… if you are like me… I do what I have to do and post what interests me on… my facebook page… read my favorite friends pages… look at the news ( depressing but true… I want to know what is happening in my universe)… and then stop… get out of my computer chair… and go live my life.

Later in the afternoon…but only after I have completed all my stuff… and also spent time with my passion and business… I will return to my facebook page… and read a couple of blogs I follow.

I want to live life… experience life…be in life… not a prisoner… of some machine… that pumps out information… scandal…and really needless trivia 24 hours a day.

And we all have a misconception that we have to join every group… to promote ourselves and or our businesses… but I really don’t feel this is true.

I feel we will be connected and guided to join the right groups and people… and the rest can go by the wayside.

All I do know is that I love my ritual… of writing my Sunday blog… and also smiling at a funny message or enjoying the blogs I love to read… or finding that perfect piece of research information I needed to make a product or write about… or experience.

But most of all… the computer has brought to me some really awesome people… that I would not have met other wise… people so incredible… that I want to spend time with them IN PERSON… and the rest… well I can just “click it “… and delete.

I have this funny little giggle somewhere deep inside of me… that knows that I am not the only person who has these same thought and feelings… my Sunday blog ritual… and my coffee… made me write them down… and now I am done… getting ready to exit my computer chair… and go do the laundry.

I love your “Sunday Blog” Victoria! :)
I love to read your thoughts and views on things.

I know what you mean about the computer (and all the other “stuff”) It is an enormous time-suck and I have been guilty plenty of being on too much. As you say, it’s easy to just click click click until you’ve clicked your life away basically.
It’s important to remember that this is not real life. To some degree I suppose it is in that it does touch upon the fringes of our lives.

I too have met many wonderful people on here. Some have come and gone from my life, only to be with me for a short season but others, I have known for many years now. I am so happy to have met them as they have become “real friends”. Of course, I now count you among them as well. I was hungry for something different in my life and I’ve found that here. You have taught me so much and I will always be grateful for that. :)
Of course yes, there are idiots too. LOL! I’ve met plenty of those and may even be one myself! :P

Have a wonderful day Vic. I’m thrilled to have you in my life.

Laura… You are one of the wonderful and incredible people I have met through this dang computer too… and for that I am blessed. But I have also met some real jerks… so self centered and what I call fame whores… but they have been good teachers to me… to never become so focused on myself… that I lose track of my soul!

I often wish we could get together for coffee… and some of your baked goods… I truly resonate with your spirit and love of the simple life…plus you are a sweet and kind woman!

Much love to you always…and thank you for being in my life!!!
